I got a battery from them and it stated clearly on the site that it was a replacement for the original. Maybe you should look more closely before ordering something or call the company to verify that the battery you need is the battery you are ordering. The people on this blog sound very bitter about a battery they ordered that was not what they were expecting and are upset because they had to send the battery back with there own money.
Greg you think that Budget Batteries tried to get your phone and internet disconnected so they would not give you a refund :grin Please listen to what you are saying you sound like a lunatic!!!!
Change you credit card number after doing business with them! This company can't be trusted

You also have other resources where you can file legitimate complaints that will help other consumers to avoid doing business with this organization.
Some of these include the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, the Department of Consumer Affairs in Washington and your credit card company who also tracks companies like Budget Batteries. As a consumer you have rights so take advantage of these agencies.
Best of Luck.
I ordered a battery from budgetbatteries.com, and I ordered the model number from the old battery. The battery arrived and didn't work.
Abe in returns said I should have ordered a battery for a totally different light than the one I own. He was very rude, and I asked how I needed to return the battery for a refund. Abe would not give me the return number I needed, said it would be emailed to me in a "couple of days," and hung up on me. Of course I paid for the shipping for the item, and I would have to pay for the return shipping, and they deduct 15% of the purchase price for a restocking fee.
After several calls I finally received the return number and return instructions by email, but here is the kicker. I received a call from my internet provider saying they had received a phone call from someone saying they were me, telling them to shut down my phone and internet service. Problem was he kept giving my cell phone number, instead of my home phone number as my home number to disconnect because that was the number I used in my contact when I made my internet purchase with budgetbatteries.com. I personally believe someone at budget batteries tried to sabotage my phone and email.I spoke with a supervisor at my internet provider, and the order to cut off my phone and internet service was recorded, and the phone number was captured.Funny thing I got the email with the return information after the call to disconnect my service.
I believe they tried to get it disconnected so I could not get the return information and get a refund for the battery, especially since it must be returned in 14 days.
I will never do business with budget batteries again, and I suggest you do research on complaints with their company, and make your own decision.

Consumer Beware. Sounds like Budget Batteries still can't come up with a real legitimate response to this consumer complaint.
Their website and invoice clearly state what the consumer is buying and expecting to receive but in reality you may (or may not) receive what is advertised or shown on your invoice. The issue is just that simple "deliver what you advertise and what is stated on your invoice" yet they just can't seem to get it. They would rather spend their time arguing with the customer and using intimitation rather than just making it right. This is not a company you want to do business with.
Sounds like they remain in denial about their responsibility to themselves and the consumer.
This is clearly a case of Deceptive trade practice......Buy elsewhere and save yourself the headache. Dealing with these guys isn't worth it.
Keep in mind that sometimes the customer isn't always right. Businesses just can't afford to pay for return shipping every time a customer orders the wrong thing. Some customers believe that burning down an office building is an acceptable justice for having to pay their own return shipping.
